Managing distractions

Managing distractions – Effectively recognising and minimising interruptions.

Some ways to manage your distractions:

  • set yourself a goal
  • break the activity into smaller goals
  • write yourself a checklist and cross things off as you go
  • move away from the distraction and find a quiet place
  • know when you need a break and take one
  • give yourself a reward when you've reached a goal
  • do the trickiest thing first
  • tell others that you need to concentrate.
