The work area

It is advisable to have a special area set aside for daily work. Aspects to be considered include:

  • correct size chair
  • ventilation
  • noise
  • light
  • possible distractions - phone/2way/younger siblings

As concentration by the student is essential, all possible distractions should be removed. All necessary equipment should be at hand each day. For travellers this obviously needs to be specific to the program content and supervisors will need to establish the most appropriate conditions relevant to their situation.
