In a feat fit for a superhero, Georgina Rapley conquered a colossal challenge by trekking a whopping 240 km from Salt Lake, the property she works on as a govie to Billy, to Bourke in just one week! Why, you may ask? Well, Georgina did it all in the name of the Bourke-Walgett School of Distance Education. She aimed to shine a spotlight on the unique hurdles that students, families, and staff face daily in the world of Distance Education.
Through a mix of generous sponsorships, donations, and an exciting raffle, Georgina's walk raised a whopping $18,500 for the P&C. This money will open up a world of opportunities for the students, from thrilling excursions to fun Mini Schools and Integration Days.
Georgina's incredible journey not only inspired her students but also rallied the entire Bourke-Walgett School of Distance Education community. She truly is a beacon of light in the world of education!
